How can Mrs Alderson - or anyone else who has a problem in school - get a fair hearing if this man is in charge ? I hope the other governors are not like him.

Andrea, if you took that to its logical conclusion, no councillor, MP or Prime Minister would ever be voted out of office. You don't have to actually meet a person to draw conclusions about them - you can read what they have written and hear about what they have said - and then decide whether you agree with them or not - and whether you think they are fit to hold office.
In my opinion, from what I have read and heard, Mr Turner is NOT fit to be Chair of Governors at Marton - or anywhere else! _________________ EVENTUALLY THE TRUTH WILL OUT, JUSTICE WILL BE DONE. |

Haven't you read what he has done ? Do you not understand how serious it is ? A teacher has been suspended with no charge. Through her union she has made a complaint. She, as EVERYONE in our society has a right to a fair hearing about whatever they are charged with - in school, at work, or in court.
By doing what he did Mr Turner made clear that NO teacher at Marton was to speak to Jon Bamboro - whether supporting the school or against it. He made it clear there were to be no complaints by staff, tantamount to threatening witnesses who were to appear at the following week's hearing. Do you think that the timing of this meeting was a coincidence ?
No-one needs to have met Mr Turner to know that this is WRONG. He should not be allowed to influence witnesses in this way. The hearing, probably because of Mr Turner's actions had to be called off. It has already dragged on for 7 months at enormous cost.
Why on earth are you saying that we should meet him ? How will that alter the damage he has done ? How will that ensure that Mrs Alderson gets back to work ?
Andrea it is far too late for that. He has done a terrible thing which no governor of a school should have done. You are going to have to accept that. |

| You are quite right, personally i do not know Mr.Turner. But it his not him personally that is being questioned, but his behaviour in respect to his position at Marton Primary School. If you have an insight into Mr. Turner out of school and you find him to be above approach that is good, but it is not personal life that is causing these serious concerns. |

Yes he should go. He is out of his depth, does not have the schools best interest at heart and is clearly being told what to do and say. The dozens of parents who have moved their children to other schools have done so because they do not believe what he has said.
Also remember that the HMI report said that they had concerns over the standard of education being provided at Marton. Mr Turner chose to ignore that comment. |
