I was speaking to a friend of mine the other day. She is someone who has never really paid too much attention to the issues going on at Marton. Her child goes to Marton. She has never wanted to know about the bad points. When things first started going wrong when Mrs Coupe joined the school, she preferred to stick her head in the sand. She is the type of person who thinks that if she doesn't acknowledge there are problems they will go away. Consequently we have never talked about it since as I certainly would not push my opinion onto someone who did not want to listen.
However, this week she started to tell me that she was very unhappy with the behaviour and lack of advancement of her child. She has now decided to remove her child. And she had to admit that I was right all along. I am sorry that the child in question has now got a long way to go to catch up to where they should be.
