This campaign is now taking a further development –

This weekend saw the formation of THE MARTON SCHOOL ACTION GROUP. No longer are we a scattered number of “troublemakers” (to quote Mrs Coupe), hiding behind anonymous pseudonyms and innuendo! An initial meeting of parents facing a common cause took place last night with a view to setting up a unified campaign with specific objectives, and a clear agenda. This could not have taken place without the facility you are now using, and our sincere thanks go to The Postmaster for setting up this forum for free speech.

Several initiatives are now being undertaken, and we feel that one of the first should be to hold a public meeting for all parents of children at Marton Primary School, and for interested parties. This will be at MARTON METHODIST CHURCH HALL at 8pm on THURSDAY 20TH OCTOBER. It is anticipated that Dick Greenfield (Bev Alderson’s union representative) will be addressing the meeting, together with other speakers. Indeed, this could be an opportunity for Mrs Coupe and David Lund to put their own views across, and for YOU to have your say!

Those of you who have supplied an e-mail address when posting on the original forum will now be automatically included in circulated information regarding the Action Group.
