What is right

Tom Riddle/Enigma did have some constructive things to say. It is a shame that he went about things in the way he did.
I had read his first post and did take on board some of what he said. I have sometimes been angry when I have posted. But I have never knowingly lied. And I would not lie for other people. This is a very dangerous game. And I have certainly never threatened anybody with violence like Tom did, nor would I.
However, I must apologise for stating that I knew who 'scared' was. Actually I was wrong (although I was right about one person posting under different names). I honestly thought I knew, but had no 'concrete' evidence. My emotions got the better of me when I posted.
Therefore I have read and re-read all of my posts and can assure you that everything else contained in them is backed up with evidence. But this is what this forum is supposed to be about - discussions, disagreements, putting facts forward.
I am sure that there are supporters of Mrs Coupe out there who can put forward sensible points of view. It seems we have only a couple left. Please continue to post.
scared

Oh dear.

Representative of 'scared' here.

For starters you've breached confidentiality anyway by using initials. Thanks for doing that, now we do have an axe to grind with you legally, so to speak, (please don't misconstrue deliberately and imagine I'm intent upon any sort of harm towards your person, with an axe or otherwise).

You still have no concrete evidence to support your claim and yet you feel justified to throw caution to the winds and post something that could be perhaps construed as foolish.

Also, the quote Tom Riddle used I'm told, was picked deliberately. To give someone enough rope to hang themselves is a common colloquialism meaning to give them the ability to figuratively shoot themselves in the foot. This activity, I'm afraid to say, you have succeeded admirably in.

As for threats, you've deliberately misconstrued the sentiment Tom posted to give yourself a reason to remove all Tom’s posts. In doing so you've proved that this site is not at all fair or unbiased.

Also posting as R Thornton, saying that you take regular backups of the site and can mirror them almost immediately if necessary, just seems to me to imply that you are in fact posting as two separate users perhaps, or that the admin is in league with a person who has a certain point of view.

This points towards a lack of integrity on the forum.

Also, if Tom Riddle was trying to perform a denial of service attack, they would need to post far more than 15 or so posts in rapid succession. Their intent was never to "Bring down the site" as you assert. To do so would require a massive flood of posts or traffic to the server, so once again you are using misinformation to prove your points. Most people couldn't pick you up on it, but you know Tom Riddle can and they're flabbergasted that you made the assertion.

Oh no, we’ve figured it out. You imagine that because you've banned their IP they can't respond. Then your propaganda will be believed. They rather doubt that. Also you've removed their basic right to respond to people personally attacking them on this forum. It's unusual how those of people ridiculing Tom have been allowed to stay, which also proves that Tom existed on this site and that they've been unfairly treated.

In closing I'd like to say that copies have been taken of everything that's been posted here by Tom and Enigma and respondents and also that none of what Tom or Enigma said was offensive or could be construed as such by reasonable people. At the end of the day you couldn't take the supercilious nature of the posts or the fact that they were effectively irrefutable.

Also, Helen, Bon jour may be one word, but putting it as two surely got the response Tom demanded from you, thank you for speaking up. It’s always a pleasure when people live up to expectations.

Oh and by the way, I'm not 'scared', I'm someone who isn’t and never will be.

This may be my last contribution as I think I have all the evidence I need now, thanks R Thornton. Thanks Admin.

Oh and Mr Veale, it's such a shame that Tom/Enigma never got to properly converse as they are sure you'd have found it both entertaining and diverting. I also doubt that unless someone copies this for you, you probably won't see this either.

We hope this is allowed to stay but expect that it won’t, which in itself will prove something.

Again, i am glad we are receiving postings from those with a differing opinion. But please can we have constructive postings relating to the topics we have been concerned about. It seems the majority received have been posted with no opinion regarding these concerns. But are wasted opportunities to pass on information that may encourage us to change our opinions. You are helping no-one.

Dear scared/concernred/hs/enigma/tom riddle

I have no intention of removing the above post for a number of reasons.

Firstly you claim I have 'breached confidentiality', and this is in some way illegal. To give you the benefit of the doubt, please come forward and tell me exactly what I have supposed to have done and what it actually breaches and how is it illegal. There are a number of issues with this. Firstly, no one was aware if this was the initials of the poster but unfortunately you seem to have disclosed this by your post. Secondly this information was not supplied to me, it is in the public domain. Thirdly, there is no declaration of confidentiality on this site so I haven't even broken my own rules. Lastly, the only remotely possible recourse if I did disclose any information to me is the Data Protection Act, which if you are familier with does not even cover this - so there isn't even a civil case. For anyone in doubt about the Data Protection act and your rights, I will put a link in the 'Links' section with the address of the Data Commisioner to whom you should complain if you feel this has been breached.

Secondly, when referring to the threats made by Tom Riddle, you conveniently left out his reference to me being under ground.....any comments?

Thirdly, with reference to giving me enough rope, I think you will find that my post was designed to do precisely that to you, which you have fulfilled admirably by showing your true intent through all the collective posts, that of conspiring to have this site closed down. This is not the first time this has been tried, although I admit, your attempt has been much more creative. A school boy error I'm sure you will agree....silly person!

Lastly and most importantly I have left your post on to show everyone who visits here that a vindictive. scheming attack on anything, let alone a forum where people are voicing concerns about the care and future of children, is undisputedly despicable. The person or persons associated with this ought to be fully ashamed of themselves.

If you have anything constructive to add to my post or anything you disagree with, please come back.

Thanks
R. Thornton

Off beam

My efforts to stay off this forum did not last long when I see posts such as those by Jimmy Riddle, Sacred, or Enigma or who ever you are.
I will say again your posts show just how poor the support for the status quo actually is if your contributions are the only ones on which Mrs Coupe can rely.

As for me being Admin - use your IT skills, check our email addresses, what ever you want, I have no connection with him/her other than them providing a forum for me to express my views. I have said before, that when I haven't been careful enough, my posts have been removed. I am the one, not admin, who is making backups because I have learned the hard way that Mrs Coupe and Mr Lund cannot be trusted when it comes to trying to silence parents who ask questions..

I cannot understand why you are taking serious issues so lightly. You are obviously trying to trivialise serious concerns. Your posts provide excellent material to send to the DfES to show the difficulties we have to face to make ourselves heard.

With regard to your first post and the value of free forums, I post regularly on another forum with none of the difficulties faced here from people like yourself. We exchange views and reasons for those views openly and honestly. We might post differences of opinion but we do not criticise or demean others. This is my understanding of debate. Open forums on the Internet are excellent vehicles for such debate between individuals no matter where they live or whatever their background. Perhaps I was naive in thinking Marton's forum was the same - that I could post a question and you could answer in an appropriate way, explaining to me why I was wrong with evidence to support this.

Riddle-me-ree!

Stood up! All dressed up for a party and there on my own…

For those of you wondering what I’m talking about, I was hoping to have a bit of a party tonight. I had sent a personal invite to Enigmatic Tom, Jimmy Riddle, Scared et al to meet me for a drink at The Shovels at 9.15. Thought we could all have a jolly good chin-wag and put the world to rights over a jar or two – well, one part of it, anyhow!

I got there at 9.05, had a quick half while I watched part of the Bolton match on the big screen, but guess what? Nobody showed!

It does seem such a shame that, when opportunities like that arise, some sort of excuse gets in the way. Was Tom too busy on potions and poisons to spare the time? Did Scared have a nervous fit? Did Jimmy have a… Oh well. Another chance missed for someone then. Perhaps the possibility of genuine discussion on the school’s problems just wasn’t important enough to put the time aside. Perhaps Tom will be able to reassure us tomorrow that he had better things to do writing 2,000 words on the subject of Coupe-baiting…

Sorry for the sarcasm. No – seriously. I enjoy debate as much as anyone - if it is to be treated properly, with both parties showing due respect for reasoned argument. I really would love to hear from someone who has a valid viewpoint about the school maladministration. Does anyone have facts at their disposal of which we are not aware, and could perhaps suggest that there are other reasons why things have been done a particular way? Something that has not been broached before?

We have been criticised as a minority interest – so where is the voice of the majority? If we have missed something, then this is an opportunity to tell us, providing you have something to back up your point of view.

No more “Riddles”, please. The school, its children, and its staff are what matters. If you have a genuine interest, then please add your voice to this debate.
