Very important! Ofsted team - contract not renewed

I have copied this from the original Marton Website, as I think it is EXTREMELY important. It makes a mockery of some of the subsequent statements put out by the LEA. Please also see LEA inspection forum, and compare the two reports.

What is the value of Marton's Ofsted report now ? After Marton's inspection, Peakhaus (the branch of RM which carried out the inspection) lost its contract with Ofsted to do any more !!!
Draw your own conclusions.

"RM plc, the UK's leading supplier of ICT and other services to education, announces that its Peakschoolhaus subsidiary has not been selected by Ofsted as a preferred partner for regional inspection services. Whilst this does not impact management's expectations for profit (before amortisation and impairment of goodwill) for the Group in the current financial year, it is likely to result in an impairment of the goodwill arising as a result of the acquisition of Peakschoolhaus."

Now we perhaps know why we were not getting any answers to our questions ! We raised questions with Peakhaus early on - after the report was published - and this was the major reason for setting up this discussion forum.

Why did the Peakhaus inspection report conflict so much with the LEA report of only a short time earlier ? Which are we to believe ?

Why did Peakhaus assess Marton as underachieving, and not making enough progress when the League Tables, SAT results and the LEA inspection show otherwise ?

In defence of the school Peakhaus stated that a 'significant number of staff' had left recently. As parents we know of 2 last summer and Mr Cooper at Christmas. Who gave them this mis-information ?

Peakhaus publicised that some staff were afraid to speak in support of the head. This was a subjective statement when not supported in the report by any evidence. We have seen since the number of staff who have left, or are absent through illness, and now know for certain that all staff were not questioned about this. This surely was a serious issue - and has had a bearing on what has happened since. Why didn't the team meet with ALL staff ?

We wonder why Peakhaus has not had its contract renewed to carry out school inspections ?

I hope that the above unanswered questions and information will stimulate further discussion on the forum pages, and hopefully at the promised open meeting with parents. So far we have no answers from the LEA, The Headteacher, The Governors or Peakhaus - the quality of education of the children, staff careers and health are all at stake.
Who is going to take responsibilty ?
