I have sat here for two hours, showing a friend (retired teacher and LEA advisor) this website. Although he has heard snippets of the whole sorry story from numerous people, he cannot believe what he is reading. In fact, all he has said, at regular intervals, whilst shaking his head in amazement, is "UNBELIEVABLE."
It got me to thinking - yes, it really IS unbelievable:
UNBELIEVABLE that all these things have happened over the last
seventeen months.
UNBELIEVABLE that a situation like this is still being brushed under the carpet by a headteacher and officials who are in my opinion, at best, incompetent, and, at worst, corrupt.
UNBELIEVABLE that there are still staff (though by all accounts the numbers are dwindling) who think the Marton School Action Group is the problem, and not those running the school.
UNBELIEVABLE that the Chair of Governors thinks he is above reproach and can do exactly what he likes.
UNBELIEVABLE that Mrs Alderson is STILL suspended without charge.
UNBELIEVABLE that the grievance hearing against Mrs Coupe that was due to take place last week, obviously did not happen, as she was back in school the day after it was supposed to have started.
UNBELIEVABLE that there are so many people in authority who think they are so powerful that they do not have to abide by rules and regulations, they do not have to follow recognised procedure. In fact they appear to think they they are utterly invincible.
UNBELIEVABLE that, although we live in a democracy, everything is stacked against the individual or the minority group, that wishes to make a complaint. Is this a way of warning the little man/woman off?
Yes, the whole thing is UNBELIEVABLE, although, sadly, I would believe anything now - no new developments could surprise or shock me.
Perhaps the powers-that-be have not realised the strength of feeling about the situation, from so many different areas. Perhaps they thought that if they continued to bully hard enough we would give up in despair.
Now that IS UNBELIEVABLE.

What is unbelievable is the wy that Mr Lund and Mr Turner have both used this forum and the action group in an attempt to move blame elsewhere.
In one reply to me Mr Turner claimed to possess a 'portfolio' of all postings on the forum. I too have copies of all posts since the forums began. He will know, then, the date that the forum began - and the action group was formed because of the problems that the forum highlighted.
The forum began AS A RESULT of problems in the school - it was not the cause.
The bullying of staff now being discovered, the clear distortion of facts to the Oftsed team, the irresponsible way in which the supply porn incident was handled, the suspension of Mrs Alderson, the untruths pepetrated by Mrs Coupe to parents about this suspension, the removal of support staff, the removal of children to other local schools, the loss of £75000 for a new MUGA, the rapid increase in supply cover for sick teachers, the manipulation of the governing body ALL happened before the establishment of the forum and the action group. Dates of incidents and the set up of the forum prove this.
THIS IS A FACT WHICH CANNOT BE DENIED.
Check the dates in your portfolio, Mr Turner - you will have plenty of time to read it when you are free from your position as Chair of Governors.

In R Thornton's posting he states that the school has lossed a £75,000 MUGA from my understanding the money is still there, as it is for other schools and they have not had their's built yet. Yet another distortion of the truth, ring the council and fnd out what is happening if you want to know.

Check your facts before accusing anyone of distortion. That MUGA was due to be built in November of 2004.
The money has now been frozen because of the escalating costs of supply cover, CSA support and other wastage at Marton.
You seem to be from the Turner school of thought - pick up on one point of argument erroneously and ignore all the rest.
