I find it quite amazing that no posts have been entered concerning Mr Turner since March. It is even more incredulous that he still remains as chair of Marton's governors. How can Marton ever hope to be altered if this man remains in this role. I have read about the debacle of attempting to sort out the suspension of Mrs Alderson with repeated postponements by the authority, surely the chair should play some role in ending this. If he really wants to be a chair of governors why on earth does he not take on some of the responsibility which goes with it ? He was quick to issue letters from school in his own name when it suited him to do so. But nothing when the going gets tough. It seems he has fallen into the role of captain determined to go down with his sinking ship.

I am just grateful that there has been a quiet period in the issuing of the newsletters from the CURRENT chair of governors. I am sure that behind the scenes those involved are desperately trying to bail the water...... the lifeboats left some time ago.

I think it's also worth reminding people about how the long established, well respected, previous Chair of Governors resigned after only a year of Mrs Coupe's Headship. The rumours are that the stress he was being caused by the endless complaints, and the underhand things that were going on, were the reasons for his resignation. He is a senior school teacher, and even he - allegedly - couldn't believe what was going on. The current Chair is a different kettle of fish altogether - nuff said!

The old Chairman Mr Taylor,is someone I have known for a long time, our children attended the same nursery school before moving onto Marton,HE SUPPORTRD THE SCHOOL AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY,SO WHY DID HE FEEL IT NECCESSARY TO RESIGN ? I can also state that he always had the best interest of Marton at heart, and it was no surprise that he resigned his position on the last day of the last school year, for those of you who were there, this was the day parents at the year six assembly were told Mrs Alderson was not present due to "personal reason's" we were not even given the decency to be told that she had been suspended, even though Mrs Coupe had been specifically asked the very same question some days proir by another parent,so much for the truth,no doubt Mr Turner will come up with some explanation as to why the head mislead us parents, but as he has said before, this happened before he took up his position so it had nothing to do with him !!
