Pieces of a jigsaw

Hi everyone, Mick's back !!

Tried to follow this week's stuff and just about got it sorted. Somebody help me if I'm wrong.

Scared was a teacher at school. She was 3 different people on this forum right ? She got sussed so then someone superior (Enigma) joined in to help her out - 'superior' so its got to be a bloke. Scared's hubby ? fella ? brother ? didn't sound like her dad. He got kicked off but joins in again as Jimmy Riddle.

Now it's all gone quiet again. Probably cos people like me have been trying to work it all out.

Now here's the next one I'm working on. Might take me a bit.

Scared joined a bit ago - but done nowt til now.
Last week Coupe and Turner made an **** of themselves.
Coupe needs support.
So 'scared' starts posting.
Last summer staff got hammered by Osted.
Here's a word I've heard of from teachers at the local - 'threshold'.

I'll be back when I've sorted this one out. If you do it first answers on a postcard, to

for mic

Oh dear, Mic, your thread is not helping anyone. It's very hard to complete a jigsaw, when some of the pieces are lost, changed and completely removed. It's difficult to form the right picture, so I suggest you go away and have another think! Me and some of my friends have been lucky to have seen the copies of enigma's/riddles posts and I can see why they were removed. It made the web-site look really silly. As a parent of the school, I thank this web-site for drawing attention to the serious issues facing marton. But I think this web-site is not helpng anyone now, at least poor Mrs Alderson. Just like Mr. Veale, I found "there was more entertainment going on here!". It won't be long before most parents get photocopies of enigma's/riddle's posts and view this web-site in a totally different light. No wonder you have set up another one!

My child goes to Marton Primary School. I cannot comment on the Admin situation there, however I can teel you my opinion of the standard of education they are receiving. They are now in the infants and I am more than happy with all their teachers in reception and nursery.
You state that "last summer staff got hammered by ofsted", but the ofsted report did not say that for early years. They came out really well ....wasn't it good? The teachers in early years are fantastic and I've always been sastisfied with the standard of care and education my child has received.
As for the computer incident, yes I'm concerned. But it was a supply teacher, not a regular member of staff. I'm sure that Blackpool LEA are investigating it, so just let them get on with it. Maybe he was really good at I.T and could get past the blocking. He could have done this in any school, so what has it got to do with the Marton situation?

I will still read your web-site, but I will findi it hard to take your aim, purpose and views seriously, especially when the leader, Mr. Veale of yor site doesn't.

Sorry, I am a tad confused by your post...

You state you are quite happy with the situation at Marton and are happy with the education your child is receiving. I am not connected to the school, so I am of course glad you are happy with Marton Primary.

However, you mention "poor" Mrs Alderson... If you are totally happy with the school why the "poor" . Obviously you feel something unfair and unjust has happened in this case? Does such an incident not cause you concern? If someone can possibly be suspended unfairly then is this really a good, harmonious place for any child to receive a moral / positive education?

Do you feel that Mrs Alderson may have been badly effected by this saga?

If so, how can you be so supportive of a school (or any organisation) which operates in such a way and in such an atmosphere / climate?

If you do not feel she has been mistreated and, in your opinion, suspended then why the "poor" MrsAlderson???

I await your responce.

Mixed up

Well msparent you certainly missed the point.
You thought the posts by enigma were amusing and they should be photocopied for all to see ?
That is exactly why they were removed. They were aimed at making the site look silly - that was the whole point of them !!!
My solicitor warned me that the next action against the site would be to discredit it. Enigma's posts do not discredit the site but merely confirm that there are some people who do not want this forum to exist and will go to any lengths to close it down. You seem to have certainly been completely taken in too by enigma's efforts.
BUT I believe in the right to free speech, to express and exchange opinions as allowed under the Human Rights Act now included in English Law. Enigma's postings were a direct attack on those rights - and by your comments you too seem to be in support of them.
For those who wish to use this forum seriously (see Lisa's post today) it exists so that people can exchange opinions and keep up to date with the current information.

As for the other site - please explain what you mean by knowing why it was set up. It is merely a site where a list of all the incidents could be placed. So many people were asking for information, I found myself repeating things over and over, so the easiest answer was to present a page for reference. That is all it is. It is NOT a forum and will only become one in the unlikely event of this one closing.

As for the porn incident you said "I'm sure that Blackpool LEA are investigating it," That's what we thought. We didn't find out about it until some 5 months after the event. We too assumed the computers were safe. Unfortunately Mrs Coupe had seen fit to tell staff not to say anything. The incident wasn't reported.
Have you read recent posts. Last week a child in the after school group was found viewing a hard core pornography site. Are you sure the LEA are looking into it ? They are now because of the fuss made by Mr Veale and the msag - and the intervention of Councillor Bamboro getting answers from Mr Lund. This is 10 months after the incident occurred.
We know that in secure environments with secure networks the PC can only link to the web via a 'walled garden'. However proficient the supply teacher was there should have been NO way of accessing anything else. Contact Lancashire IT centre if you wish to find more details on this. Certainly that a child can access hardcore porn is terrible. You should be concerned until you see for yourself what safeguards are in place.

As for Mick's post. If you think pieces of the jigsaw are missing then why not post them for us. I understood what he was getting at. If he made his point what does it matter how he made it ?

Are you saying then that 'scared' is an early years teacher ? Mick said 'staff got hammered' - not 'ALL staff got hammered'. Read carefully. I know for a fact and no doubt so does Mick, that Mrs Alderson was highly praised. Scared was the start of the push to discredit the site. From further posts we can guess who 'scared' was and I think I can make an educated guess about where she figured in Ofsted's findings. The point is, where was the starting point for that group. Ask yourself that, and perhaps read sections 10 and 8 of the Human Rights Act before being so pleased about Enigma's posts.

Internet safety

To msparent

You say that the forum is not helping anyone now, yet you seem very pleased that enigma purposefully attacked it. It is not the fault of the organisers or serious posters when things like this happen.

You state that you will find it hard to take issues seriously and yet you display a very uncaring attitude to others. I was quite shocked to read your statement "He could have done this in any school, so what has it got to do with the Marton situation?"

Which is the exact point MSAG were making. So you think if he didn't do it at Marton it's O.K. for him to go somewhere else to do it. This person could be teaching other children of other parents like yourself right now. Do you not think that if Marton discovered the incident then someone had the responsibilty to report it ? Imagine this teacher in a school downloading images with children in the room, then a parent discovering it and later learned that the same thing had happened at Marton and nothing had been done !

However there have been other instances since, so the systems were not obviously safe for children. (see other posts on the forum) I don't know for sure but I thought Marton was part of an intranet in Blackpool. If that intranet is not safe at Marton then it is not safe at other schools - or do you not care about children other than those at Marton.

Right from the discovery of the incident (months after it took place) msag simply asked for confirmation that - as you say - the LEA had looked into it and problems were sorted. Wouldn't it have been easy to give an answer yes or no at the time instead of allowing this debate and questions to roll on ? Or did the authority have something to hide? Or didn't they even know about it ? Mrs Coupe was not criticised - in fact I doubt that Mrs Coupe has any responsibility over computer security BUT where she does have responsibility is in answering questions about serious issues. That is where the criticism arose.

So everyone receives a copy of Enigma's post ? You think it makes the site look silly so do you think that helps matters ? Will this make school machines safe ? Will it stop the drain on money going out of school ? I would ask you to look at all issues before committing yourself.

I don't think at all the photocopies will affect one iota those who care about the future of the school. From the start there have never ever been any answers given - just criticism for asking, and attempts to shut people up. Now people try to mock.

You did not give a single positive answer yourself. I agree with you about the quality of the early years teaching - there is plenty of evidence to support your statement - in the last inspection AND in the previous two inspections. However we also know that another teacher who was praised by Ofsted was suspended without charge. How would you feel if the teacher of your child was suspended. Can't you see why the parents of children in her class were so angry last summer ? Especially when they were told she was absent for personal reasons ?

How would you have felt if your child had been in the class which had 7 supply teachers in one term up to Christmas ? Or don't you care because it didn't happen to you ?

The msag and I DO care about Marton, about its future, and about sorting its problems. We don't take kindly to mockery but have learned that is something that serious posters will just have to accept. I am sure that despite all attempts to discredit the site recently or close it, there are enough who care about Marton and care about freedom of speech to keep asking questions about things which do not seem just - and go on asking until answers are given.
