Below is an email received on October 12th

Our first encounter with Mrs Coupe was within the first week of her starting at the school. We found her to be unapproachable and very condescending. Since then we have have spoken mainly to Mrs Brooks. She has managed to solve a few of our issues with the school. We are at the moment very concerned about our children’s education and indeed welfare, surely somebody must be able to help the parents with the answers we are surely entitled to. Our eldest child is in year six and we have had nothing but problems since starting back at school. The teacher causing all of these is Mrs Bladen, whom as of today, has been relieved of her duties at the school. However, this now causes other problems as the class is to be taught by Mrs Norbury and whilst I am not questioning her ability as a teacher, she will only be teaching them until yet another supply teacher will be appointed and how long they will be there for is anybody’s guess. This is a very important year for all of the children and I can’t help but think that this could seriously damage their sats results. I can only hope that somebody in the governing body can be responsible enough to care about all of the children’s education (not only year six)and kindly relieve Mrs Coupe of her current duties at Marton school, and let our children go back to being confident and happy about going to school instead of worrying about getting into trouble over silly trivial things. It seems more like a juvenile detention centre rather than a school. Don’t get me wrong, there are still a few teachers that can teach, but the majority of them are either too scared to stand up to this woman or are as much of a control freak as Mrs Coupe is herself. Unless things change sooner rather than later I to will have no option but to pull all four of my children out of the school. I say this with much sadness, and I am praying that it will not come to this. Maybe we can persuade the much missed Mrs Lancaster to come out of retirement and get Marton school back on track!

Post confusion

My apologies for the confusion regarding this post. All recent posts by me, including this one, are messages which I have received from people since the old forum closed.
