Have the Inspectors been back????Looking back through the posts, it seems that since OFSTED found they had concerns about the standard of education at Marton, nothing much has happened. Does anybody know any more news?
From what I have gathered, if OFSTED find a school in the category that Marton is in, "Underachieving" then there should be regular visits to monitor the schools progress. They haven't been back for over one year.
I have had no letters home to say what has happened. Could this mean that the school is trying to keep the truth from us?
From the conversations I have had with friends and my own dealings, there is no improvement, it is possibly gettng even worse.

You should know by now, Katie, that Marton School is like no other - it is a law unto itself.
It does not have to adhere to rules or procedures, it does not have to follow national guidelines, or listen to anybody who might just know better, or anybody who does not agree. It does not have to respond to complaints or concerns.
The powers that be have decided it can do whatever it wants, in the capable hands of its Head teacher and Governing Body.
Hence:
* No HMI follow up
* No Ofsted follow up
Marton School is above all that, didn't you know?
I wonder when someone in power will realise what a mess the school is in - getting worse by the day - and do something to stop the rot.
The children of Marton School deserve better.
