Do you know who's teaching your child each day??I have heard yet more disturbing news today about the supply teachers in school.
One class had FOUR supply teachers in one day!
One supply teacher was sent home halfway through the day because they were so useless!
Two supply teachers were not trained to teach primary, only secondary.
One supply teacher turned up, after the supply agency had been told Marton did not want her again as she was not a good teacher. She taught for the rest of the day.
Many classes appear to have a permanent full-time teacher in, when actually that teacher is replaced by another member of staff or a supply teacher for a good proportion of the week.
Parents, we need to ask our children on a daily basis, who has taught them that day. I have been shocked at what I have been told - most parents won't be aware of this, but it's another indication of the way Marton School is going downhill under such bad management.
From now on, I am going to write down who has taught my child that day. If other parents do the same, we'll have a record, a TRUE record of what is going on in school, and not be misled about what is going on, in newsletters that tell us only the good bits!!
If anyone wants to email me through this website, I'm happy to put all this information together. Each parent may think it's only THEIR child who is getting a raw deal - if we put all the information together we'll get a wider picture. I think we might be surprised.
Parents, for the sake of your child's education, keep a record of who is teaching your child, and post it on this website. Perhaps we need a weekly update. What do other parents think?
