Blackpool Council-Are the blind eading the blind?

After seeking futher information from certain bodies at the COUNCIL I am afraid to say that they no longer want dialogue with us lesser mortals regarding anything to do with Marton.
THEY (YES,,THE BIG THEY) have reitterated that the school is making good progress ?
After asking for proof I have been told to go away in no certain terms, sorry guys at the town hall, you see some people will let the fact that a school has lost or is in the process of losing its most experienced teachers be enough to call it a day. The fact that the latest set of league tables are not exactly encouraging,,to me, it looks like anything but making good progress.
As has been documented on here previously(see below)the figures speek for themselves.

2004 - Mrs Lancaster's final year
Marton 244 LEA 231 National 237
So higher than both LEA and National average

2005 - the end of Mrs Coupe's first year
Marton 232 LEA 233 National 240
Now slightly below the LEA but falling dramatically below the national average

2006 - Mrs Coupe in office for 2 years
Marton 222 LEA 236 National 242
Now dramatically lower than the LEA average and an embarrassingly 20 points below the National average for pupils of the same age

How can members of Blackpool Council stand by and do nothing whilst a school's performance is spiralling south ? I am aware that there are some good people within the town hall, yet saddened by their apathy towards dealing with the problems at Marton.
Elected officials are in a position to deal with complaints from their constituents, not to provide information, and then, when asked to justify them "pick their ball up and go home"

SO THE FIGHT CONTINUES, AND FORTUNATELY THEIR ARE MANY MORE PEOPLE WHO HAVE YET TO BE TOLD TO "GO AWAY"

i have emailed several local 'elected' officials to ask for their help/input into the situation at marton and have yet to receive any reply. I wasn't aggressive or trying to lay the blame at their door for not intervening sooner. I simply asked, as a concerned parent of a child at Marton, for their help in trying to understand how the 'decline' at Marton has continued. If any of them are reading this site, please take the same time to reply to myself and anyone else who has given up their time to contact you for help.
