Are they all wrong??? Yet another few days in the house of Progress for a certain Headteacher. Once again another grievance against her. That's about 5 or 6 I have counted over the last year or two. Can they all be wrong? I fear it will be a forgone conclusion.
Whilst many are losing their jobs, Management are wasting money on a lost cause.
But the tide is turning.

One rule for one.................If the information is indeed correct that there have been 5 or 6 grievances, involving a certain Headteacher, then how come Mr Turner did not seem fit to call a staff meeting and discuss it with all the staff.Let's face it, it is widely reported on here that is just exactly what he did in Mrs Alderson's case, one rule for one and one rule for another, mind you if Mrs Coupe is visiting Progress House yet again then Mr Turner will no doubt be writing a letter to the masses of Marton Parents who have supported the head and the school through this terrible mess,(that will be about 6)
NO I DONT THINK SO EITHER.
It is such a shame that hard working staff are going to lose their jobs because money has been wasted on trying to dig Marton out of whole, Mrs Alderson's greivance went in before she was suspended,so we can assume that if the greviance has gone in from a teacher then will they be suspended too !!!
Does anyone know if Mrs Alderson's greivance was heard as bearing in mind that the situatuation has now been resolved, surely this greivance wasn't swept under the carpet ?

You are exactly right Wayne. I don't think people actually know this.
Mrs Alderson did submit a grievance against Mrs Coupe. Mrs Coupe response was to suspend Mrs Alderson - I believe this was about 2 weeks later (I assume she beleived if she left it 2 weeks people wouldn't make the connection).
It was then some time before Mrs Coupe actually came up with a reason for the suspension (which still hasn't been told to today). I can only assume that this reason was so ridiculous that the LEA had to bring in a consultant from Capita to try and put the case together. From what I have heard the whole case was a farce with statements from different members of staff looking incredibly similar (and why wouldnt they, they were all written by the Capita consultant!). The LEA was faced with a case that could never be won against Mrs Alderson. Things only got worse then, statements were withdrawn and some were highlighted as being libellous - what was initially a very weak case was crumbling right before everyones eyes.
So, will Mrs Alderson's initial grievance against Mrs Coupe be heard - I doubt it very much. From what I hear, when they did try to hear it (before the disciplinery as was promised by the LEA), the disciplinery panel acted in such a ways as to disrupt the whole proceedings so that it couldn't be heard.
As I have said, this is only what I have heard, but why can't someone confirm or challenge this account.
I'm making a stand and I going to lay down a challenge. If no one is prepared to say that my account is untrue, I am going to assume that it is true. So if no teacher, governor or member of the LEA is going to dispute this, then there are some very serious questions that need answering, mainly, why did the LEA/Governors allow the headteacher to suspend a teacher in an attempt to stop the grievenace against her from going ahead. The fact that there has been no case heard against Mrs Alderson only goes towards supporting this statement.
We need answers now!

You are right about the grievance. It fell apart after a few hours due to (allegedly!!) the Governors and LEA not following procedures, not being prepared, and treating Mrs Alderson like she was a criminal etc etc. This was supposed to be a hearing to address allegations against the Headteacher. You would have thought they would at least have pretended to go through the motions, even if it was a kangaroo court! Incidentally this information was provided to me from a friend of a friend of a governor!

I have also heard about more than 1 grievance against the headteacher in fact I also heard DIRECT from a governor that there have been at least 4. What kind of woman is this? She has been at the school for less than 2 years and she has had 4 grievances! Did Mrs Lancaster have any grievances against her in all the time she was at Marton. I don't thinks so. This must tell us something. Ask yourself why people are complaining they can't all be wrong.

There are some disturbing posts in this thread, and ones which, The_Truth, can certainly be challenged. Statements like "I have heard that", or "friend of a friend of a governor" do not help - the facts can get distorted and changed to other meanings like Chinese whispers.
How do you know about another grievance, or that there have been 4 or 5? Aren't they confidential, so how do you know Mrs Lancaster had none
You are in danger of winding up Mr Turner and ruining these teachers' chances of a fair hearing.

I agree. The MASG has always relied before on actual physical evidence to support statements. The posts on this thread can only provide ammunition for those who attack this Forum.

Visitor, I agree with you that these things are supposed to be confidential the trouble is that they are not any more. I have heard things from more than one person I also know that things can end up like chinese whispers, look at some of things that were said about Mrs Alderson. The trouble is until somebody in authority answers the questions they have beeen asked for the last 2 years we will never know the truth and rumours will be going round. There are people in school and the education offices who are leaking information out, perhaps questions need to be asked why. Perhaps it is because they know things are not right and want some answers for everybody.

HM I agree with what you said but I hope we will be believed in the end when things are investiagted properly, people are frustrated because nobody is listening to them.
