We are parents of 2 children at Marton, the younger of which has only just started and the older is in year 5. We cannot add to any of the specifics that have been highlighted on these forums, but can agree that our kids are coming home more and more aware of gossip and rumour. They need reassuring, never mind us, that they will get through their Sats. My eldest came home yesterday in tears and asked me to teach her at home because she hates school, its no fun any more and she is frightened of failure. She has never said that about the school before. She is 9 years old with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Please will someone in authority take notice ... the children are aware and becoming upset. If this was happening in our workplace, we could contact the union. Who can the kids turn to? Not their parents cos we know nothing .. it is so frustrating to not be able to give them the answers and reassurance they need.

I am retired and live with my wife, I have joined this forum as I feel very strongly about what has been going on at Marton over the last 14 months. I did until July this year have 3 grandchildren at Marton yr6, yr 4 and yr 2, I also had my youngest due to start at the Nursery this Sept, in July after a great deal of thought and consideration my daughter felt the time had come to take two of the children out of Marton and place them in another local primary school, our oldest grandchild remained at Marton until the end of the school year as he was going to High School, our youngest remained at the Pre-School she has attended since she was two. Although the children are not at Marton any longer I feel that we should not have had to make the decision on their future primary education at all, my daughter made that decision seven years ago when she chose Marton and we all expected that it would be the school all of the children would go to but how wrong we were. So you have three generations of support from us we will be at the meetings and we will fight .
