i work in a very large primary school in blackpool and i would like to say that there are a lot of people who have little or nothing to do with marton school but who are still very interested in what is happening there i can say that in the school where i work we have had no supply teachers in and no staff off for more than a couple of days for absolutly ages cant remember the last time.i have been on several courses for my job and over time have met a lot of staff from lots of schools one thing i noticed was that staff from marton were always proud of where they worked and full of praise for the school where most of them sent their own children i am afraid to say this is no longer the case during the last school year the courses i attended where marton staff were also present they were very subdude and really quite embaressed to say where they worked as and i know that quite a few staff pulled their children out before the summer break because they knew things were going wrong but they were not allowed to inform parents.as a support asisstant i would have loved a job at marton and so would many others but not any more i think that most people working in education in this area would stay well clear now.i have seen the teaching jobs advertised and i would be very interested to find out how many local teachers go for the jobs!!!
