I have copied this from the original Marton Scool website, as I think it is important, especially in view of subsequent comments by Mrs Coupe and the LEA, about the school's performance since the previous Ofsted.
I have obtained a copy of the report on the inspection carried out by the LEA in January - just a few months prior to Ofsted's visit. This makes very interesting reading in the light of all that has happened since.
Here are some snippets from the LEA's report of January 2005:-
The schools improvement since its last inspection was judged to be good (Ofsted said the opposite)
Standards achieved by pupils were good
The quality of education provided by the school was very good
Good teaching overall. Over 50% were deemed to be good or very good
How does this compare with what you have read of the Ofsted report ?
